Patsy Cravens is a native Texan and a photographer. She grew up on her parents' farm in Colorado County and loves the landscape of South Central Texas. In the 1980s, she began speaking to residents of Colorado County, learning about them, and photographing them. Cravens' photographs were included in the documentary, Coming Through Hard Times : An Oral History Video, which she wrote, directed, and produced.
